These are Spain's most unique almonds. Spanish Marconas are flatter and rounder than traditional almonds. These heart-shaped almonds are notorious for their golden color and sweet and delicate taste. Grown in the Valencia region of Spain, where they're called "the queen of almonds," they have a notable soft crunch and rich flavor that makes them stand out from typical, supermarket almonds. These Spanish almonds are lightly fried in oil and salted, resulting in a rich, slightly salty and nutty taste. As such, they can be eaten on their own.
